About Us

What We Believe

  • We believe the Bible to be the only inspired, infallible Word of God, our only written guide for doctrine, rebuke, correction and instruction. 2 Timothy 3:16,17; 2 Peter 1:20, 21
  • We believe the Godhead consists of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, a Tri-Unity. 2 Corinthians 13:14
  • We believe in the Deity of Jesus Christ, in His atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, and in salvation exclusively through His redeeming blood. 1 Timothy 3:16; Hebrews 9:22
  • We believe salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. Salvation is God's free gift to us. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works; only by trusting in Jesus Christ and His death on the cross on our behalf can anyone be saved from sin's penalty. Romans 5:6-11; Ephesians 2:1-10
  • We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit according to Acts 2:4, and in the present manifestation of the gifts of the Spirit. Romans 12:4-8; 1 Corinthians 12:8-11
  • We believe in sanctification, the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer, producing a life of holiness without which no man shall see the Lord. 1 Thessalonians 4:1-8; 2 Thessalonians 2:13-17, 5:23-24; Hebrews 12:14
  • We believe that sexual purity is a necessary expression for all God's children, and requires abstinence from all sexual relationships or practices forbidden in Scripture.
  • Hebrews 13:4; 1 Corinthians 6:18; Galatians 5:19
  • We believe that marriage is the uniting of one man and one woman in covenant commitment, and a sacred institution established by God. Matthew 19:4-6
  • We believe that since mankind is created in God's image, human life is of inestimable worth and significant in all of it's dimensions from conception to the grave. Genesis 1:27; Psalm 139:13-14
  • We believe that divine healing is the privilege of all believers, provided for us in Christ's atonement. Isaiah 53:4; Matthew 8:16-17
  • We believe in Christ's soon literal return to the earth in power and great glory, and the subsequent judgment of all men. The righteous will be established in His eternal kingdom. Acts 1:11; John 5:28, 29; Revelation 20:15
  • We practice the sacraments of water baptism by immersion, and the Lord's Supper until the time of Christ's return. They are not a means of salvation, but are channels of God's sanctifying grace and blessing to the faithful in Christ Jesus. Matthew 26:26-29, 28:19; Romans 6:3-11; 1 Corinthians 11:23-34; 1 Peter 3:21

  • We believe that the Bible gives specific evidences that we are used by the Holy Spirit.

  • The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Galatians 5:22-23
  • He gives us the confidence to share Christ through our life with His power. Acts 1:8
  • He gives us the capacity to praise together, have music in our hearts, thankfulness toward God, and a submissive attitude to each other. Ephesians 5:18-21
  • He gives demonstrated evidence of Himself through a change of heart and specific gifts. Acts 15:8 & 9; Acts 2:4
  • We believe that the Holy Spirit gives spiritual gifts to the Church.

  • Every believer has one or more spiritual gifts. 1 Corinthians 12:7
  • Several specific gifts are mentioned in the New Testament: apostleship, evangelism, pastors, teaching, prophecy, exhortation, wisdom, knowledge, serving, helps, leadership, administration, giving, mercy, discerning of spirits, faith, hospitality, tongues, interpretation of tongues, miracles and healing. 1 Corinthians 12; Romans 12:4-8; Ephesians 4:11-16
  • The Holy Spirit determines which gifts He wants us to have. 1 Corinthians 12:11
  • We not only have different gifts, but we are called to serve in different ways with different strengths 1 Corinthians 12:4-6
  • We are called upon to use those gifts to build each other up in Christ. Romans 12:6-8
