What to Expect
We know that making the “leap of faith” to attend an unfamiliar church can be overwhelming. The questions that run through your mind can seem endless. “What do I wear?” “How do I get there?” “What is available for my kids?” “What do they believe?” etc. We want to make this leap seem a little less intimidating. You should expect to feel welcomed and accepted no matter where you’re coming from or what your circumstances of life may be. To take your mind off some of the many questions you might have, we thought we would answer some common ones here. If you have any questions that aren’t answered below, don’t hesitate to call (585) 394-7450 or email.
When are services?
Services are on Sunday mornings at 8:30 am & 10:30 am
What should I wear?
We want you to feel comfortable. For the most part our services are very casual, yet some still enjoy to put on their "Sunday best" and that's fine too! Honestly, you'll fit in no matter how you dress.
How do I get to Zion?
We’re located on Bristol Road in the town of Canandaigua, just off from Routes 5 & 20.
5188 Bristol Road
Where do my children go?
Children are a big deal at Zion Fellowship. We start off all our services as one big family. All the kids are with us during the praise portion of our worship service.
8:30 am service
Your kids age 2 and older will stay with you through the entire service. Nursery care is provided for little ones ages 2 and under.
10:30 am service
Children are released to their classes after the praise portion of the service for their own teaching.
0-2 years Our Nursery is available during the entire service. Feel free to stop in at any portion of the morning with your child. There is also a nursing mother’s room nearby.
2-3 & 4-5 year olds are together in their own classes.
Grades K-6 are together in KIDS Church.
Grades 7-11 are in Mirror’s Edge.
Signs in the Lobby will direct you to their classes. Feel free to ask someone for directions if you need help.
What is the worship service like?
We love Jesus. That’s why we gather on Sunday mornings at Zion Fellowship. Because of our love for Jesus, our worship services are upbeat and full of expressing our love to God in song. The music is energetic and led by a live band and worship singers. Don't worry if you don't know the songs, the words are on screens for you. At Zion, we want everyone to feel comfortable. You can feel free to sit, stand, sing, or just enjoy the music. We expect nothing from you except to be our guest.
Am I expected to put money in the offering?
If you are our guest, we don't expect you to put money in the offering, and you are welcome to just let it pass you by. If you consider Zion your church home, we'd love for you to consider giving.
What about communion?
Communion is offered once a month. You don’t have to be a church member to participate; we only ask that you have already made a decision to follow Jesus Christ.
